Who inspires you and why?: Both of my parents inspire me. They both have shown me how to work hard in everything you do even if it’s not necessarily easy. Watching how they balance their work lives and their home lives is truly inspiring because they are able to do it all and still attend all my events.

Favorite soccer memory?: My favorite soccer memory would have to be winning my first High School State Championship in 2022. It was a close game that we won when I made a penalty kick and we held the score for the final few minutes. Sharing that moment with my dad, who was our head coach, was also pretty amazing. We have won a lot of championships together.

Why did you choose Sioux Falls City FC?: I chose Sioux Falls City because of the team. I practiced with the team last year and I knew I wanted to play with them again. They were all so welcoming but they held me accountable during practice which I really appreciated. They all made me a better person and player during the season last year and I hope to grow even more this year.

Biography

I started playing soccer when I was 5 years old in Mitchell, SD as it was the only sport I could play at that age. In 2018, I started playing for Dakota Alliance SC as a U13 player. With the DASC 05 team, we won the USYS Presidents Cup National Championship in 2019 (the 1st national USYS title in SD history) and was named Best XI and Golden Ball winner. I was a member of the Midwest Region Team at the USYS ODP Inter Regionals in Florida in 2019, 2021 and 2022. In 2021 I tore my ACL and I like to say that was a turning point in my career. Not playing soccer for 9 months showed me my love for the game. The main goal I set for myself was to get back playing at the highest level possible and accomplish whatever I can while I still can. While playing high school soccer at Harrisburg HS, we won back-to-back State Championships in 2022 and 2023 (the 1st state championships in school history), I hold all the individual game, season and career records in goals and assists at Harrisburg, I won the Gatorade POY in my junior year and was nominated again this year, I also won the United Soccer Coaches Association All-American award (the 1st in SD history) during my junior year. In 2023, my DASC 06 team won the USYS National Championship (the 1st top flight USYS national title in SD history) and was named Best XI. Ever since my injury, I have been committed to being the best I can be and hope to continue that with Sioux Falls City FC this summer and at South Dakota State University this fall.
